Christmas Activities

All students have to do as homework the activities under the heading  1st  Term Revision Exercises , as a revision of teh contents that we studied during the 1st Term.

1ST TERM RETRIEVAL TEST ( RECUPERACIÓ 1ST TERM )

All students that have to prepare the 1st Term Recuperció Exam, must do all the activities from the section  1st Term Retrieval- Recuperació and Reinforcement . You have to prsent the activties the day of the exam .

On November the 12th we celebrate a traditional tea party. Students made cookies and biscuits at home and then they brought them to school . We drank the traditional English tea  with milk and we had a taste of this important English tradition.
Some students brought some nice cakes all of them home made. Next year we want to celebrate it again !!! We enjoyed the experience so much !!!

NGO GROUP PROJECT

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE NGO  PROJECT 

In  Unit 2, you have to do a group project  about a NGO of your invention , The format to hand it in is a leaflet . You have a sample on the Yellow Submarine page, Module 2, project 1.

The sample is thought to be for one person , so you must try to do it longer as all the members in the group have to prepare a part .The leaflet must be handed in in a   paper format .

Apart form the leaflet you have to prepare a power point presentation . The pp must contain  mostly images , to show your classmates about your NGO. Each member must present one part of the power point, but all members must know about the different parts presented in your project .

The day of the exposition the leaflet and the power point must be presented.

INSTRUCTIONS TO IMPROVE YOUR MARK

Students who want to improve their mark must prepare an oral exposition  considering the following insructions:

1) You must prepare  a power point exposition about the following topics. You must prepare all of them , but the teacher is going to ask you some not necessarily all of them.

2) The topics you have to prepare are : 

    

     2.1) My future expectations.

     2.2)  Describe a negative past experience . 

     2.3)  How do you see  the Human  Future ?

     2.4)  Do you think computers and mobiles are optional or necessary? support your asnwers . 

     2.5)  If I am the richest person in te world....

     2.6) Imagine that you are the major of your city. Explain the rules you will include using modals 

             and supporting your answers.

3)  Each  exposition has to last for about 2- 3 minutes.

4) In the expositions the following criteria is going to be considered when marking the student:

     Grammar structures, vocabulary, morphosyntax and punctuaction , coherence  and adequacy,        pronuntiation, intonation and audience engagement . 

5)  Remember that in oral exposition you cannot have any paper or read . 

THE EXAM  WILL BE :  Thursday  18th at 11.00 at the Lab. 

INSTRUCTIONS TO PREPARE THE JUNE RETRIEVAL TEST . RECUPERACIÓ DE JUNY.

Students who have to pass the Recuperació de Juny must do the activities from  June Retrieval Test Recuperació. These activities must be handed  in to your teacher the day of the exam .
If you want to do extra practice you can do the different modules activities.

Last tips to remember

Dear students,

The course is about to finish, The next weeks must be intensive in work and concentration in order to get a good mark in English. Those who still have problems in English can reinforce their level by doing the Module or Units activities, the Term Revisions or the activities proposed in the links of the other modules.
Take a chance and make your English better , the result is going to be worth.

ACTIVITIES TO PREPARE 2ND TERM RETRIEVAL TEST ( RECUPERACIÓ )

Students who have to go through " Recuperació " will have to do the blog activities from Module 3 and Second Term Reinforcement Activities.

Remember to make a revision from the dossier and to study the vocabulary from there that we studied in class. You can also review the writings  as they will do you good.

IMPORTANT : Remember that these activities must be given to the teacher the day you have the exam.
