GROUP PROJECT WORK.


 STEPS TO FOLLOW 

Students  must select one of the topics from a list .
Once the topic is selected they have to organise their work , individually and in group. Some tasks will be done individually but others must be done in group.
Then , they have to prepare and record a video about it.
The video must be handed in to your teacher before the 16th January.
You can send the video to esomaristes@gmail.com or handed in in person in a usb  format. Make sure that the format you use is compatible, no excuses will be allowed

STRUCTURE 

Presentation and  introduction of the Tv Programme .
Explanation about the tradition or holiday ( origin, when it takes place, why and how  it is celebrated, characteristics, special things to mention …
   All group members must participate in this part.
   Special things like  recipes, music … must also be included.
. Closing or conclusion . The programme must finisn properly
. Minimum length  5 minuts

IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER 

 Make sure that all the members in the group participate.
 A self- evaluation is going to be given to you .
 Pay attention to pronuntiation, sound and image quality as it will count 
 Be original when preparing your TV programme , you can disguise yourself, record it indoors or outdoors...
Enjoy yourself during the process, the idea is to learn about traditions and have a nice time learning too. 

HAND IN THE PROJECT BEFORE THE 23RD  JANUARY 2015.

Organize your time properly, you have plenty of time to prepare it  and no excuses will be accepted.

INSTRUCTIONS AND TOPICS TO IMPROVE YOUR MARK

TOPICS & INSTRUCTIONS  TO IMPROVE YOUR MARK 

Students that want to improve their mark must  prepare all the following topics . The day of your exam you have to hand in all the writings for the expositions to your teacher before starting the oral exposition. 
The exam is going to consist in an oral exposition about one of the topics . The minimum length of the oral exposition will be 2 minuts per topic. 
To improve your mark we will consider the contents, grammar and vocabulary use, pronuntiation, intonation and the genral exposition of ideas as well as the answers to the teachers´ questions. 
The topics that all students  who want to prepare this exams will have to do are : 

-       1)   Talk about a past experience giving full details, using connectors, simple past , past continuous ,  comparatives, conditionals, etc… 
-           2)  Talk about the advantages and disadvantages of NGOs. Then, compare 2 NGOs stating your point fo view.
-           3) Saving the earth. Talk about alternative and renewable energies to save our world.  Give your opinion about the one that is better for you and contrast with other energies .
-          4) Your future vision. How do you think will the world be in a future concerning environmental problems, health system problems, government and political changes,…
-             5) Goals to success.  Tell about you future plans  and  the things you have to change to reach your objectives . Use the conditional form , comparatives, …
-            6)   If you can change things, what will you change ? Use modals, comparatives, etc…
   
      IMPORTANT : In all the exposition you must use all the structures used and studied in this course and use a suitable vocabulary. All the exposition must be properly prepared  to get a better mark.

STEPS  TO  PREPARE  PROJECT  1


1)       DECIDE THE TOPIC

2)       EXPLAIN THE STEPS TO FOLLOW.
-          Give good instructions using imperatives and future forms.
-          Use appropriate vocabulary
-          Supply with examples
-          Make sure that you put instructions in the right order .
-          Use clear  instructions

POWER POINT PRESENTATION

1) INTRODUCTION
    1.1  Introduce the  Topic.Use main  ideas about the contents.

2) BODY

    2.1) Now develop the topic in full. Use main and secondary ideas to support your point of view. Support your answers and give examples

3) CONCLUSION
     3.1.) Summarize the most important ideas developed in your presentation. Do not introduce any  new ideas here.
     3.2) Give your point of view.

4) MAXIMUM EXTENSION 
     The maximum extension is 6 pages and a minimum of 4 .

IMPORTANT :

An oral presentation is not a copy and paste exercise, you can use scientific or specific vocabulary but you cannot copy whole lines or texts . If you copy and paste your exercises will be wrong.
An oral presentation is never read.
